Duane Riordan

Duane was born and raised in New Jersey just outside of New York City (just like most Floridians!). In high school his family relocated to the Toronto area where he made some of the best friends he has to this day. Canadians are great people! Upon graduation he enlisted In the United States Air Force where he became an Aircraft Loadmaster on C-141B Starlifters. There his travels took him to South and Central America, Iceland, Greenland, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. His primary duties were supervising the on/offload of cargo and calculating the aircraft center of gravity for takeoff and landing purposes. He was also airdrop qualified for the delivery of troops, cargo and heavy equipment. He participated in the Panama conflict, Operations Desert Shield, and Desert Storm. After being honorably discharged From the USAF Duane moved back to the NYC area where he managed a small chain of fine menswear outlets in Manhattan. There he was responsible for sales/marketing, personnel and inventory control. After having the itch for travel and adventure he acquired in the military, he picked up and moved.  Spending winters teaching skiing at Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah and spending summers working for a charter sport fishing boat companynear Wilmington N.C. Since then he’s done extensive sales and marketing in the new construction industry and solar energy business. After living all over this great country Duane found a place to call home in the Tampa Bay Area in 2006. Growing up in a major metropolitan area and his love for the outdoors made Tamps Bay a perfect fit. He’s said “This area has it all…pristine beaches, nightlife, world class fishing and sailing, major sports teams and gorgeous weather for an outdoor lifestyle”.
